Anubhav Sinha is gearing up for his streaming debut with "IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack," a thriller series that delves into the 1999 hijacking of an Indian aircraft by five Pakistani militants. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series is set to premiere on Netflix India on August 29.

The teaser begins with Indian passengers preparing to depart from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, for their journey back to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Vijay Varma, portraying the pilot Sharan Dev, instructs the passengers to sit back and relax. However, the scene quickly takes a dark turn as five masked militants take him at gunpoint, assault the air hostess, and hijack the flight, plunging everyone into fear and chaos.

The teaser then reveals that this is no ordinary hijacking; the fate of an entire nation hangs in the balance. Indian government officials, portrayed by Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza, Manoj Pahwa, and Naseeruddin Shah, spring into action in New Delhi.
